10th Planet Lineage Portraits
When Dawna Gonzales-Gonzales contacted me about doing the official lineage portraits for 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu, I was pretty excited. Most of the lineage portraits you see in BJJ schools are a mix of photos and frames, of various sizes and quality. It’s not often that they represent the school’s lineage with the respect and attention it deserves.
To have the chance to illustrate, and define something so important, for such an important group of schools… that was the kind of project that gets you out of bed in the morning…
While it started out pretty simple, with just seven portraits for HQ. The demand has only increased as they’ve spread out to all the various moons and hotboxes. It’s now at 26, each one with it’s own specific challenges and triumphs. If you’re a blackbelt looking to add yours, or your moon’s instructor to the group, drop me a line.
